I’m from Maharashtra. Biologically born as a male, I obtained my B.E. in Civil Engineering. From the small age of 6, I felt like a girl. Needless to say, I faced a lot of bullying, cursing, pranks, weird looks from people as I grew up. But I was lucky because my family supported me. Both of my parents come from an educated background. I completed my degree 2 years ago and requested my parents to help me with a gender reassignment surgery (I did all the research during my college years). During the COVID times, the entire clinic was taking stringent precautions and all my surgeries were performed with utmost safety. Even during my clinical stay, the entire helping staff was in full PPE gear and they never made me feel unsafe. Dr. Sanghvi constantly took follow-ups on call and advised me about every little precaution after every surgery. I feel privileged to have met and been treated by Dr. Sanghvi. The clinic also helped my parents financially and never compromised my treatment due to financial hiccups.
